Such a warm welcome from the Oakdale Soroptimist as I was inducted into the group today, along with two other sweet ladies!

I love how past and present merge together in this beautiful dance of life! Anyone who knows me knows that I am all about empowering girls, so when I learned about Soroptimist I knew I had to join. In my "past life" I worked with pregnant and parenting teens through a local non-profit. Today, one of the other ladies who was also inducted was one I collaborated with often when I was a case manager. Then, one of the members shared with me that her daughter in law was one of the first girls I worked with in our Oakdale program over 16 years ago! I am excited for the opportunity to serve and empower young women through this program!
