Words can’t explain how happy I am right now.

After a while I lost hope. It seemed like nothing was helping and every time I went back to work it was a nightmare. It hurt a lot to keep going back and forth.

On Monday I return to five days a week, open to close. It feels good being able to say that. It’s going to feel even better when I get to talk to clients again. The reason why we do this.

We wanted to clarify a couple things about what is happening with the barbershop. Just in case there’s any confusion.

1st things 1st, Riley is still taking over the shop. We’re aiming for 1/1/27 for her to completely take over. Before we can do it there’s a couple of things that need to happen first.

2nd is booking for Corey. If you’d like to make an appointment you have two options. One is to text him. If you have his number than by all means. If not he’s back on our booking site.

Medically he’s doing great. Which brings us to the 3rd one. He’s planning on opening another shop. He’s been talking with our landlord and there’s a few more locations available elsewhere.

We hope this helps clear up any confusion.

Now that I’m back in the shop I can take some responsibility off Riley and Ethan’s plate. We’re going to do something that we haven’t done in a long time.

Donation Drive!!!

This weekend we’re going to start taking school supply donations. All supplies will go to Webster Elementary School. A place I attended from 2nd thru 4th grade.

Let’s get some supplies for the kids that need them. No kid should go without basic supplies. Education is important and it’s just as important to be properly prepared to learn.

So let’s go!!! Let’s make some happy kids!!

It’s been quite a while and honestly, I don’t even know where to start…

First things first, we just hit our SIX year milestone!! None of it would have been possible without the help from y’all and the barbers in the shop. So thank YOU!

I’ve missed you guys. I’ve missed seeing your smiling faces in our shop. I’ve missed talking to our clients. The laughing. The joking. Just the overall experience of being here.

I get emotional just thinking about the past year. I was starting to think that this wasn’t ever going to happen. I cried a lot. Eventually I realized that I couldn’t let this go.

I’m starting to think it’s time to start working on our next location. My plan is the spring of next year. I’ve already found a few spots. Now it’s just a matter of making the decision and moving forward on it.

I’m going to end this the way it started. THANK YOU!!! I love you guys and I’m looking forward to getting back to work. My books are open for next week. First time in over a year!!

Note From Corey…

I heard some of y’all miss me!! 🤪

I’ve got a few things to share. One of them being the new logo for Barber’s Choice in Oakdale. Since she’s taking over it only seemed fitting.

Second, if you know of any barbers or cosmetologists that are looking for a fun place to work where they’ll be treated like family, send them our way. We’ve got one station to fill.

Next up is I’m coming back to work starting June 8th. These last few months have been pretty difficult for me. Sitting around at home is not in my DNA. So I decided to come back to do what I love. If I don’t I’m going to live with regrets. I just know it.

After I’m back and I know everything is ok medically, I’m going to start on our second shop. We’ve got a lot of great leads for strip malls so it’s going to happen. It’s just a matter of when.

This last year has been one hell of a journey. One I’m glad is over. Anything that happens from here on out I’m pushing through.

I appreciate your patience with all of this. The back and forth is over. I’m here to stay.

Lastly a special thank you to Riley and Ethan for all of their patience and support. They’ve been first ballot Hall of Fame with it. Which solidifies my decision.
