We are here in the same spot you’ve visited us at Fig and Clover, but are slowly changing our ….look ;-)

CAN YOU BELIEVE IT!! After 15 years it’s time to say goodbye to this part of my life behind the chair and salon owner. My life in Mexico has me following a path that I’ve put off for years and now I have the space to embrace. I get to continue the legacy that my parents have built for us this little guesthouse/ retreat space in the mountains. It’s been an incredible blessing. .doing.hair ^me and some of my cute hair friends after a class a few months ago you may have noticed that no online availability has populated for August. I have some big news: I have decided to pause my hairdressing career while I build up a new skill set! It seems as though the ol’ hamster wheel which capitalism has so ruthlessly designed for us spins ever faster, and service industry work can be so physical and draining.

I’m taking some time to explore either changing careers or supplementing my income with something more sustainable. For the next couple of months I’m going into hyper-focused student mode and will be taking a variety of online code courses. In my 16 years of hairdressing I’ve never taken any breaks like this before, so it feels a bit surreal. But I’m also really looking forward to being a student again!

Though there are still a lot of unknowns, I do plan to schedule hair pop-ups once I’ve had a chance to focus on learning for a bit. If you’d like to be the first to know about future pop-ups or availability, send an email to hannah.doing.hair (at) gmail. com and I’ll add you to my mailing list. I also have resources on hand for all your hair needs.

I’m SO grateful to both .hair and for being the sweetest and most supportive as I plunge into this big experiment!
