Seeking Hair Stylist

Marquee Salon Oakland is seeking an experienced stylist for our bustling, welcoming, and cheerful rental salon. We are a collection of highly trained stylists with educational backgrounds from Vidal Sassoon, Bumble&Bumble, Toni and Guy, etc.

Our vibe is professional, customer service oriented, friendly, down to earth, stylish, supportive, and creative. We are a great team of renters who work very well together and pursue advanced education. Marquee can accommodate stylists with a full clientele or those who are looking to build in Oakland.

What we have to offer:
-The salon has well-trained reception staff that can book same day appointments/walk-ins and field calls from existing clients.
-We carry high quality products (Rahua, Reverie, Davines, Bumble&Bumble), which enables us to offer at least two advanced education classes a year.
-Excellent location in Temescal. Other vibrant businesses are steps away (Homeroom, Tacos Oscar, Oakland Yard wine shop, Subrosa Coffee,1234go records). There is easy street parking in the neighborhood and the salon is walking distance to MacArthur Bart.

The owners are stylists who have worked in both commission and rental salons. We see the benefit of working together as well as the importance of personal freedom. Since opening in 2012, our goal has been to create a beautiful and positive environment for our stylists and thus have built an excellent reputation in Oakland as a salon that offers elevated style without pretense. We are active in our community, and there is opportunity to participate in fun and inspiring events.

Our salon is a perfect place for positive people who want independence and are motivated to keep growing as stylists.

Dear friends, please join Marquee Salon and Oakland Yard wine shop on February 22nd at 7pm-9pm for an evening of fundraising to support our lady Shimeko (, and Hair of Shimeko) who is facing the fight of her life against cancer. Shimeko is a single working mother, lovingly raising her beautiful son. All proceeds will go to help Shimeko financially while she recovers from surgery and chemotherapy. Marquee Salon will be giving donation based bang and beard trims ✂️ and OAKLAND YARD will be providing a special flight of wines 🍷 for the event. Also, the incredible 🍰 will be having a pop up. In addition, there will be a silent auction featuring gift certificates and goodies from :
