Most extension brands coat their hair in silicones and additives so it feels perfect in the package. Wash it a few times and the truth comes out: dry, frizzy, stringy ends.

So I’m putting my own hair to the test. Satori Hair Co, washed 4 times, no product, air drying overnight.

How much hair do you ACTUALLY need for a full head of extensions? 👀

Every Satori Hair Co pack is 50 grams and a full 30 inches long. Here’s the breakdown:

✨ Fine hair: 100g
✨ Medium hair: 150–200g
✨ Thick hair: 200–300g

This is why real length costs what it costs, and why cheap hair never looks full on the ends.

Here’s the thing nobody tells you. In our industry, 18 and 22 inches are the standard. Anything longer is genuinely hard to source …it takes years to grow, and most companies cut corners just to get it out and grab your money. So it shows up thick on top, and dry, stringy, and see through on the ends. Every. Single. Time.

I was supposed to launch my own extension line last year, but building something real as one person is complicated …so I’ve kinda been gatekeeping my supplier, quietly using it on my own clients.

I’m done hiding it. I’m opening up custom orders for extra-long lengths.
