Throwback to a stunning wedding 6 years ago. I got married two months after this trip. My husband left a few months after that. I think this streak of weddings in 2014 planted the seed for me wanting to learn classic design 🌹 but also planted the seed for very mixed emotions around marriage and the masking nature of weddings.

How have you overcome stressful times in the past with a creative outlet? A practical task connecting you to your body and nature. Healing from unexpected change, grief or trauma. For me, flower design has been like a meditation. It’s helped me move from a protective state to a connective, creating state. Today was a mournful day for OB house of blooms and we 🌳🌳🌳 are celebrating the 3️⃣ beautiful oak trees no longer with us 🌳🌳🌳 providing shade and interest and shelter 🐦, a magic forest in an urban world. Change is pushed on all of us. We can’t help resisting it. Protective. Fight or flight. Alarms in our bodies, chaos and fatigue. You are strong 💕 and time will give you the answer. Don’t keep the future waiting too long.
