For my first show, I found 2 old dresser drawers, glued them together, spraypainted them white, and used the monsterously heavy result as a product display. Over the years that evolved into shelves, then a table with marble displays.

Setting up and breaking down the shows was honestly one of my favorite parts. I loved the creative puzzle of putting a booth together just as much as I loved meeting everyone and talking about plant-based skincare!

But closing the business means no more shows. I still have a ton of booth supplies, if anyone is interested! Square reader, tables, displays…you name it. If you are in the Bay Area and want anything, let me know!

My dear babes, what immense tumult and grief have the last two years brought. But challenges also present opportunities to grow—to turn inward, realign priorities, shed what no longer serves us, and, hopefully, to emerge anew.

I have avoided this post for so long because I couldn’t bring myself to type the words, but here they are: Chuck & Sam will be shutting down at the end of the year. We’ve been limping along since the pandemic, and it’s finally time to let go and move on.
