Please join us in welcoming Amanda Maier, LMT, CLT to our team!

Amanda joins All Bodies and brings unique training from a diverse background from working as an occupational therapist and certified lymphedema therapist. She is originally from Louisville, KY where she earned a Masters in OT in 2010 and transferred to Ocala Florida in 2014. She transitioned careers to work more specifically with manual therapist and bodywork by continuing her education with the prestigious Florida School of Massage completing the program in 2021. Amanda has extensive experience working as an occupational therapist in a variety of settings including outpatient therapy, home health, a cancer institute, hospitals and inpatient rehab.

She completed certification as a lymphedema therapist with the Academy of Lymphatic Studied, ACOLS, 135 CEUs in 2010 and has worked specifically with patients who are s/p cancer procedures, history of DVTs, chronic cellulitis and venous insufficiency.

She has advanced training in IASTM (instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization) and supports the science for releasing restricted fascia and reducing scar adhesions. IASTM is a technique that evolved from Gua Sha, a Chinese method, however it is used with various angles combined with specific strokes using different applications to increase mobility. It is beneficial for a variety of conditions but not limited to back pain, plantar fascitis, rotator cuff tendinitis, ligament strains, carpal tunnel, tennis and golfer's elbow.

Amanda is passionate about providing a custom-tailored massage specific to an individual's needs and preferences to best promote healing and relaxation. She enjoys spending time with her children, parents and Sh*tZu, Princess, traveling to the beach, swimming at On Top of The World and simply laughing often. She believes deeply that providing an opportunity for individuals to develop an awareness to oneself can result in connecting the body, mind and spirit allowing an opportunity to encourage a moment of healing.
