•We achieved this look using Flash Lift, then toned with Shades EQ 10NP, 9G, and Crystal Clear to create a seamless, sun-kissed blonde with plenty of dimension.
•
•Before any lightening, I treated the hair with the Professional Molecular Repair Hair Mist. This pre-service treatment works on a molecular level to help strengthen the hair before chemical services by reconnecting broken keratin chains. Using it before blonding helps protect the hair’s integrity throughout the lifting process, allowing for healthier-looking results while helping maintain softness, strength, and elasticity.

•My client wanted to move away from the traditional bleach-and-tone maintenance and into something softer, brighter, and more blended. Using Professional Hair mist as a pre-treatment. Using Blonde IQ with 20 volume, a 7N root tap, and Shades Alkaline 10P + 10T, we created a blonde that feels bright while growing out beautifully.

•With hair this thick, protecting the integrity was just as important as the final color, so the Acidic Bonding Concentrate 3-step system was a must. Some of the thickest hair I’ve worked on, and proof that the details make all the difference.

•To finish the service, we did the Acidic Bonding Concentrate Professional backbar treatment. This treatment is one of my favorites for blonding services because it helps restore hydration, reinforce weakened bonds, balance pH, and leave the hair feeling stronger and smoother after lightening.

•Followed with the Acidic Bonding Concentrate Professional Treatment (backbar) — this is where the magic happens:
• Replenishes protein to reinforce weakened areas after lightening
• Restores moisture balance so the hair doesn’t feel dry or brittle
• Uses an acidic pH sealer to bring the hair back down to its natural range (~4.5–5.5)

•Why this matters: after lightening, the hair’s pH is elevated, leaving the cuticle open. Bringing it back down helps seal the cuticle, lock in color, boost shine, and improve overall strength + longevity of the blonding service.

•Finished with a gloss using Redken Shades EQ 9P + 10N for a soft, balanced blonde ✨

•As natural gray begins to blend with blonde, the overall result can start to look flat or lacking dimension. Adding highlights is a great way to reintroduce brightness, create contrast, and keep the blonde looking intentional rather than muted.
•
•For this service, I used Redken Blonde IQ with 20 volume to gently lift while maintaining the integrity of the hair. After lifting, I refined the tone using Shades EQ 9G + 9GI to create a balanced, dimensional blonde that complements both her natural and previously lightened hair.
•
•I also used Framar blueberry foils—not only are they visually fun, but they provide clean, consistent separation for precise application and optimal lift.
•
•This is a perfect example of how strategic highlighting and toning can enhance natural grays while keeping the overall look fresh and polished.
