Today, we honor the legacy of a man who helped shape the heart of Ocean City—Bernie, the founder of Bernie’s Barbershop.

More than just a barber, Bernie was a fixture in this town for over 60 years—a true craftsman, a storyteller, and a friend to generations who sat in his chair. Whether you came in for a haircut, a chat, or just to say hello, you always left feeling better than when you walked in.

Though the shop now has new ownership, the foundation Bernie built still lives in every snip of the scissors and every friendly hello that walks through our doors.

Rest easy, Bernie. Thank you for everything you gave to this town and to the people who loved you. Your chair may be empty, but your spirit is forever a part of Bernie’s Barbershop.

Due to the ongoing snowstorm Bernie’s will be closed today Monday January 6th and reopen tomorrow January 7th. Stay safe and enjoy the snow.
