My hardest extension install yet…

Why?

Because I typically won’t install extensions on hair that’s this short and this thick. It’s one of the hardest combinations to blend seamlessly, and I’m always honest with my clients about what’s realistic.

But when she reached out, something in my gut told me to help.

Her hair had actually been down her back. Just two weeks before, she decided to cut it all off thinking that, with the Mississippi heat and a baby on the way, shorter would be easier.

Instead… she instantly regretted it.

If you’ve ever been pregnant, you know your body is already changing so much. Sometimes not feeling like yourself in the mirror can make that season even harder.

So we got to work.

My biggest goal when someone sits in my chair isn’t just to give them beautiful hair. It’s to help them leave feeling like themselves again… confident, beautiful, and maybe even a little better than before. 🤍

Was this install challenging? Absolutely.

Was it worth every second? Without a doubt.

Because at the end of the day… it was never about the extensions.

It was about giving a mama-to-be a little piece of herself back. 🫶🏼

My girl said “I’m starting a new chapter in my life so I need the new hair to go with it!”

Done! ✔️ And we are obsessed with the results!

We did a neutral brown at the root and melted it down into a beautiful copper brown. We then custom colored and installed .luxhair in 20inch tape-in extensions!

Freshened up my girl with just quick lived-in maintenance appointment. But what a difference!!

As I’m making this post and talking about the blend, I thought about back when I first started and it was the Kelly Clarkson chunks and now it’s all about the blend!

I am actually glad I started back then for so many reasons but I feel like those back to back perfect chunks, (then at refresh time 6-8 weeks later picking up those exact pieces) set a good foundation for all foiling and coloring going forward!

Who else started when we foiled our life away doing those blonde, dark and red chunks?! 😂🙌🏼
