A day to celebrate the planet we inhabit. The first Earth Day was celebrated on April 22, 1970 and continues to be celebrated yearly. This is our home, we inhabit the Earth. We clean our homes on a regular basis, why not the earth too. Just like a home it takes the whole family to chip in to help keep the house in order. It takes all of us to chip in to help keep the earth clean too.

I remember when my kids were younger they would watch a show called Bob the Builder, one of the things I loved about the cartoon was the influence it had regarding the 3R's ( reduce, recycle and reuse). To this day my kids like to help the environment to stay clean.
