I just found out…

The beauty industry will teach you a lot about hair.

But if you stay long enough, it’ll teach you even more about people.

People see the beautiful transformations.

They don’t see the years of education, failed formulas, self-doubt, long days, missed lunches, sore feet, and late nights that made those transformations possible.

People see the finished hair.

They rarely see the stylist.

The woman who showed up exhausted.

The mother who missed dinner.

The business owner answering emails after hours.

The leader carrying the weight of a team.

The artist who pours confidence into others while quietly rebuilding her own.

I’ve learned that some of the hardest work in this industry goes completely unnoticed.

Nobody hands out trophies for staying late.

For squeezing in one more guest.

For solving problems behind the scenes.

For carrying the emotional weight of clients, employees, families, and businesses all at once.

You just do it anyway.

I’ve learned that some people will enjoy the shade from a tree they never helped plant.

They’ll enjoy the opportunities, the culture, the growth, the beauty, and the experience without ever fully understanding what it took to create it.

And that’s okay.

The tree was never planted for applause.

It was planted because creating beautiful things is what we do.

The older I get, the less interested I am in proving myself and the more interested I am in protecting my peace.

I don’t need to explain every decision.

I don’t need to react to every opinion.

I don’t need everyone to understand the vision.

Because not everyone sat through the sleepless nights, difficult conversations, financial risks, sacrifices, and fears that came with building it.

What I’ve learned is this:

Beautiful hair is created with skill.

Beautiful businesses are built with consistency.

Beautiful lives are built with boundaries.

And the most beautiful thing I’ve created over the years isn’t the hair, the salon, the social media, or the success.

It’s the woman who had the courage to keep showing up anyway.

And honestly…

That’s the transformation I’m most proud of.

Thankful on this Thursday 🌸
Coffee in hand, goals in motion, clients in my chair, and gratitude in my heart. Building something beautiful one day at a time.

When your only request is: β€œMake me blonder and give me all the layers.” Say less. 🀌🏼

A little blonding, a little Diet Coke, a little overthinking… and somehow it all works out.

Just a girl building dreams behind the chair, loving on her people, blasting 90’s RnB, and making women feel confident one appointment at a time.

If you get it… you get it.
