The wedding industry has a boundary problem.

Somewhere along the way, “great service” became “be available 24/7,” “bend every policy,” and “say yes to every last-minute request no matter what.”

And before anyone says it—yes, the wedding day is about the bride.‼️

But for most brides, this is their first time planning a wedding.

For wedding vendors? This is our 100th, 200th, or even 500th.

We’ve learned through experience that boundaries, systems, timelines, contracts, and deadlines aren’t there to make things difficult. They’re there because they create a smoother experience for everyone involved.

The vendors who provide the best experience are usually the ones with the strongest boundaries. I said what I said.

I will absolutely go above and beyond for my brides.

But being accommodating and being a doormat are not the same thing.

In fact, protecting my time, energy, and processes is exactly what allows me to show up fully for every bride who trusts me with her wedding morning.
