💛 THE STORY BEHIND THE NAME

Many of you have asked why we chose the name Monique’s Beauty Bar and we’re honored to share the heart behind it.

The idea to purchase this salon here in Oconomowoc came from my sister, who will soon be joining us as the hairstylist in the space. What started as a conversation quickly became a shared vision one rooted in family, strength, and love.

Monique (Monica) was our mom.
She passed away nearly 30 years ago, but her influence, strength, and spirit have never left us.

This space is named in her honor.

Monique’s Beauty Bar represents the power of the three of us, our mom, my sister, and myself and the belief that together, anything is possible. It’s a reminder of resilience, confidence, and showing up fully just as she taught us to do.

This salon is more than services under one roof.
It’s a place built on strength, connection, and helping people feel their very best — inside and out.
