This was a fun color correction that really tested my color theory knowledge. My client wanted to go back to a natural light brown to match some extensions that she had. I can’t just throw a brown over these colors and expect it to come out even. If I throw brown on top of the blonde, it’ll look hollow and muddy. Almost “see through”. If I put a brown over the copper, it’ll be a warm brown. We did a color remover to remove the dark brown and then I filled the blonde with some copper and red in a level 7. Then I applied two different formulas with 6N and 7NA in matrix supersync. To avoid darkening the brown too much, I did mostly 7NA with a little bit of 6N. To darken the blonde after filling, I used 6N with a little bit of 7NA so the ash would neutralize the copper. Then we finished the service off with a cute cut. Instead of a straight across cut, we opted for a lob. And this is the results! We are obsessed. I love the science part of hair😍

We didn’t get a before picture but this lived in blonde turned out beautiful. This is a micro light with a teased root that’ll blend in seamlessly over the next few months. 😇

🥵🔥This is such a fun and bold color! We did a halo placement followed by some subtle teasylights. When her hair grows out, it’ll blend seamlessly. With a color depositing shampoo, her vibrant color should last her at least 4 months 🙂
