‼️REMINDER: APPROVED LOTIONS ONLY IN OUR BEDS‼️

We’ve been seeing more customers bringing in lotions purchased online or from retail stores (Walmart, Amazon, TikTok Shop, beauty supply, vacation products, etc.). While these products may be inexpensive and easy to find, they are not approved for use in our commercial tanning beds.

This includes tanning jellies, butters, and oils made for outdoor sun exposure- not high-use salon equipment.

A lot of these products contain ingredients like petroleum, mineral oil, coconut oil, heavy fragrances, and other cosmetic fillers that people don’t always realize they are putting on their skin. While those ingredients may be fine for general cosmetic use, they are not designed for repeated use in commercial tanning equipment and can leave residue behind that’s extremely difficult to remove and damages the integrity of the acrylic.

Some products may even say “can be used in tanning beds,” but that does not account for how a commercial tanning salon operates, with beds running continuously and multiple clients throughout the day. Even small amounts of residue can build up quickly under these conditions and cause issues that wouldn’t happen with occasional use.

For that reason, we only allow lotions that are approved for use in our salon and specifically formulated for commercial tanning equipment.

Please also note: use of unapproved lotions is a violation of our salon policy and signed waiver and may result in membership cancellation.

If you’re ever unsure about a product, please ask before your session. We’re always happy to help you find something affordable and safe for our equipment.
