I remember walking out of the doctors office wondering if it was all in my head…⁣ ⁣ Everything “𝘭𝘰𝘰𝘬𝘦𝘥 𝘯𝘰𝘳𝘮𝘢𝘭” to them & they couldn’t explain why I had no cycle, constant fatigue and no libido. ⁣ ⁣ But the most frustrating part was they didn’t seem to care. ⁣ ⁣ They told me I could try birth control to get my cycle back. ⁣ ⁣ (𝘞𝘩𝘪𝘤𝘩 𝘸𝘢𝘴 𝘰𝘯𝘭𝘺 𝘨𝘰𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘰 𝘱𝘶𝘵 𝘢 𝘣𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘢𝘪𝘥 𝘰𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘴𝘪𝘵𝘶𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯.)⁣ ⁣ So I decided to do my own research and found out my body wasn’t producing progesterone and hardly any testosterone or DHEA. ⁣ ⁣ It wasn’t a mystery why I was feeling like crap!⁣ ⁣ That experience has taught me to trust my instincts and advocate for myself. ⁣ ⁣ Because we know our bodies and know when things aren’t right. ⁣ ⁣ And being told “𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘺𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨’𝘴 𝘯𝘰𝘳𝘮𝘢𝘭” is feels like a slap in the face and makes you question your sanity. ⁣ ⁣ So let this be your reminder to be your own biggest advocate.
