It’s all connected… sleep, stress, water, food. If something is off, I’ll help you reset!

Have you tried a body composition scale to get your current metrics? It’s a useful tool at looking at more than just your weight. I utilize it for looking at % skeletal muscle, body water, protein, metabolic age, etc to get a bigger picture.
The coolest part of using these is you get to see where you’re currently at and can explore any improvements you might benefit from. So great to see these improvements actually being implemented and see that progress over a couple of weeks or months!

If you’re interested in learning your current body composition, schedule a visit with me to review it! You’ll leave with a printout and a plan!

For every 20 minutes of computer work, 20 minutes of forest therapy. It’s all about balance, right?! ☺️

Not sure if it’s realistic… but I’m willing to conduct more research. 😂

Health tip: Your body wasn’t designed to sit at a desk all day. Get up, move around, step outside, look at some trees—and give your brain a little reset.

But seriously, if you’re stressed or feeling the need to escape (maybe from the heat right now 🥵!), even a virtual escape through past adventures or a video walkthrough on your tv or computer offers your brain a chance to reset and relax a bit.

Fun little trend - I could keep going! 😁

Kinda chic to get stronger as you get older. 💪
Kinda chic to realize “healthy” doesn’t mean boring. 👏
Kinda chic to read the label, not just the front of the package. 🤓
Kinda chic to walk after dinner. 🏃🏻‍♀️

So, what is Kinda Chic to YOU?

🌊 You don’t have to change everything overnight. You just have to keep showing up, for yourself and your health.

Healthy habits are built one small step at a time. One nourishing meal. One walk. One glass of water. One good night’s sleep.

Progress is in the consistent choices you make every day that add up to lasting change.

If you’ve been waiting for the “perfect” time to start, this is your reminder that you don’t need perfection—you just need the next right step.

What’s one small healthy choice you’re making for yourself today? Share it below! 💙

You know it’s going to be good when it starts with a sizzle!

What are your favorite veggies to sauté before adding a protein?

I love onion, garlic, celery and today added a seasonal zucchini squash, chopped kale ribs and one sliced gold potato. I made a soup (in summer 🙃) but it was so good and nourishing with bone broth added. Plus the soup helped me reach my fiber goal for the day!

Because some weekends call for muffins!

I searched for a Gluten Free zucchini muffin recipe then tweaked it, because I almost always do! 😂

Ingredients:
1 1/2 c GF flour (I used King Arthur)
1/2 c oil (I used avocado oil)
1 1/2 t cinnamon (I would add more next time)
1/2 t baking soda
1/2 t baking powder
1 t pure vanilla extract
1/2 t salt
2 eggs
1/2 c sugar (original recipe called for 1 c; I used a monk fruit/allulose mix for most of it and honey from my uncle’s farm 🍯 )
2 summer squash (I used zucchini but you can substitute with yellow squash or use one of each; original recipe called for just one)

Bake in 350° oven for 30-35 minutes until toothpick comes out clean and muffins are golden on top. Wait to cool then enjoy. You can drizzle a little honey on it if you need more sweetness.
Note: You can add chopped nuts, chocolate chips, etc. I did have some finely chopped pecans and added approx 2 T to the mix. I did a dash of cinnamon on top of some and a sprinkle of a vanilla sugar on a few for the family.

Are you looking for summery treats for you and your family?! ☀️💦🍧

Here are two local places for healthier options! 🙌

offers a wonderful variety of organic (and delicious!) smoothies with preset or build your own options! You can also add a protein or adaptogen for a boost! They also carry organic juices, gluten free snacks, matcha, etc!
offers dye free and organic options for snow cones (!!), lattes, fun summery drinks and snacks (some gluten free options too)! Dye free snow cones is a great find for families with kiddos! Check them out!

If you need a healthier premade option at home look for brands like GoodPop or DeeBee’s for fruit juice based freezer pops (organic and no artificial junk options).

When you eat out, what drives your choices?

Do you tend to build your meal around carbs, or do you look for a balance of protein, veggies, and carbohydrates?

A simple way to feel more satisfied after a meal is to prioritize protein and vegetables first, then add carbs you enjoy. This can help support energy levels and keep you feeling full longer.

And don’t forget that even smoothies can add up quickly! The smoothies in these photos had added protein and were shared with my daughter, but they still contained quite a bit of fruit.

Small choices can make a big difference in how you feel after eating. 💚

Tonight’s dinner was quick and easy! 🤌

It was a take on Chicken Parmesan, but no breading, it was gluten free and low carb. To make it dairy free, use dairy free ricotta and vegan cheese shreds.

I served mine over a salad while my family had theirs over pasta.

It was made easy by putting everything on the sheet pan and in the oven while I made the salad and pasta. Easy 30 minute meal and everyone enjoyed it. I cut up a cantaloupe for dessert. ✅

If you’ve fought a yeast infection or overgrowth, it’s good to know there are some things you can do to aid your body in healing and rebalancing. 🤗

Dietary changes can help make your immune system function better! 💪

Always work with your practitioner, if you suspect a yeast infection, to get started on the right treatment. 👍
