"Aware, Play, Create" is my LinkedIn enewsletter brand. If you're curious about how ‘Aware, Play, Create’ can apply to marketing, play around with AI and see if you can come up with ideas for strategic marketing. You can use AI to identify companies you want to work with that are in your niche.
Once you’ve accomplished determining who your niche is, be cognizant and aware of opportunities. When it comes to researching companies and roles, exercise creativity and think like a detective. You can start be researching who the Design Team Lead might be and draft an email, or send a LinkedIn message offering outside support!
I’ve put into practice these ‘Aware, Play, Create” principles with my marketing. I used the Marketing Mentor, Ilise Benun’s tips, to offer outside support to marketing departments.
… Or you can contact someone else in the company other than the Design Team Lead — perhaps an Email Marketing Team Lead, so you don’t exhaust your contacts. Employ AI to find these leads or use LinkedIn to filter roles in whatever department relates to your business.
Freelance is Daily, and although marketing freelance should be daily… sometimes it’s not. That’s just the way it is.
It’s not a big deal, with awareness, you can cultivate allowing which can result in patience.

I posted this prompt into Chat GPT: Based on what you know about me here's a description of my career “mid‑career creative director and brand/web designer, based on my reference photo.” Keep my bob haircut length and part, with natural reddish brown hair and a few silver strands. Give me expressive eyes behind simple glasses, a relaxed, confident half‑smile, and a thoughtful expression. Use clean hand‑drawn line art and soft, muted colors. Dress me in a casual‑professional top in a rich warm tone, suitable for a designer who enjoys digital illustration, photography art direction, and painting. Place a few faint doodle‑style icons—a pen tablet, camera, paintbrush, and simple webpage layout—around my shoulders to reflect my creative career.
Here's what I got!

I’ve been deep diving into redesigning my website, Design Limits 25. Actually I’m designing TWO sites — an art site and a site for my graphic/web design business. I’ll provide the URL’s once the sites are finished.
The redesign includes coming up with a new color palette and refining sketches of icons (using Procreate to make). Something else that will be updated is photography & I may use this photo on the “About Page.”
Check back for updates here and on Instagram — .

She seems all sweet and innocent, but trust me, she’s a toy-obsessed wild child. I’m still on the hunt for that squirrel tail ball we found at Winco - she’d fetch it by the tail and proudly bring it back to me. It may be hidden away in a box or behind a stack of frames.

I'm back at a Quentin Blake workshop and these critters are amazing. The one on the lower left is a dead ringer for someone I used to work with 😂. This could motivate me to self-publish. Do any stand out to you?
