Hair cycling or style rotation is important. If you are constantly applying 400° of heat to your hair its going to stretch your curl pattern. If you consistently pull your hair into a ponytail it is going to stretch the curls around the perimeter. If you go from braids to braids, sew in to sew in, crochet to crochet you are going to experience traction alopecia, split ends, hair shaft fractures etc.
Learn to take breaks in-between extension styles. Let the scalp breathe and the hair rest. Do not manipulate the EXACT same areas EVERY time!
Loc clients I'm talking to you too. You do not need a style everytime and do not leave them 2 strands in for 8 weeks, take them out!
