I’m Val DeBella the Owner/Hairstylist at Black Velvet Hair Lounge. ✂️ I grew up in Monroe Township, New Jersey and graduated top of my class from EBVT school being licensed 16 years ago. Where Color and Color correction quickly became my passion behind the chair. I worked in Spotswood, NJ for most of my career in a tight knit Salon with some of the best mentors in the business. I knew it was time to venture out and do it on my own. I worked toward my goal to give myself the amazing opportunity to spread my wings and open my own Salon Suite. Which has quickly become the best decision I’ve ever made. Black Velvet Hair Lounge is a one on one experience where I am able to focus solely on the needs of my client. I’ve been able to give my clients more time and the Salon experience they deserve. I am Master certified in Redken, Wella, and Matrix. As well as Magic Sleek and Brazilian Blowout. Amongst many other color and educational classes throughout my career. I specialize in all color services and was educated in balayage by Guy Tang In Connecticut. On going education is such an important part of being the best stylist for your clients. My salon offers services from Simple touch ups, Color correction, Balayage, Root melts, Fashion colors, Blonding, Smoothing treatments, Women’s, men’s, and children’s haircuts, waxing, and more! This upcoming year I will be venturing into extensions which I’m super excited to introduce to you all after my certification. (Stay tuned) 😊 BVHL is lax and fun! It’s an environment where you can come and just be yourself! I strive to make my costumers feel as comfortable as possible. Bringing joy to all of your faces when you leave is what keeps me going everyday! If I could change just one persons day in an appointment I know my job is done. This is my passion and you are my family! I hope to see my current and new beautiful faces in my chair for years to come.
