First, I want to sincerely thank everyone who showed concern, kindness, and support for me and my business regarding the recent incidents involving a group of young boys.

I truly appreciate everyone who commented, shared my post, and helped bring attention to this situation. Your support means so much to me!

I wanted to share a positive update.

Today, I received a phone call from the mother of one of the boys. She explained that a friend had shared my Facebook post with her, and that's how she found out her son was involved.

She kindly asked me to remove her son's picture from Facebook and told me that she plans to bring her son to my business to apologize in person. She also said that the other boys and their parents would come to apologize as well.

I have already removed the pictures from Facebook, as requested.

We are now expecting the children and their parents to come by next Saturday to apologize in person. I truly hope they follow through.

My intention was never to hurt or embarrass these children. I simply wanted the repeated disturbances to stop and for them to understand the importance of respecting other people and their businesses.

Children make mistakes, and I believe they deserve the opportunity to learn from them, take responsibility, and do better.

Once again, thank you to everyone in the Old Saybrook community for looking out for small businesses like mine. Your kindness and support remind me why I love being part of this community. ❤️

NOTICE TO PARENTS – REPEATED DISTURBANCES AT MY BUSINESS

I am reaching out to parents in the Old Saybrook community regarding a group of young boys who have repeatedly been coming to my business.

At first, these boys would come into my salon asking for candy. I was happy to share with them. Unfortunately, they began entering without permission, grabbing handfuls of candy intended for my customers, and leaving without asking or saying thank you.

When I stopped allowing this behavior, the situation escalated.

Yesterday and today, the boys repeatedly came to my business, banged on the door, and ran away. This happened multiple times and has become a disturbance to my business.

These incidents have been captured on my security cameras.

I am asking the parents or guardians of these children to please address this behavior immediately.

If these disturbances continue, I will file a formal police report and provide the security footage as evidence. I will also consider any appropriate legal action available under Connecticut law.

I work hard to maintain a safe, peaceful, and professional environment for my customers. No business owner should have to tolerate repeated intentional disturbances.

Please teach your children to respect other people's businesses, property, and boundaries.
