Moving Sale at Kindred Moon Apothecary

Dear Friends and Community,

We wanted to let you know that Kindred Moon Apothecary is moving to our new location at 106 5th Ave SE (directly across the street from our current space at 117 5th Ave SE). Systemic structural concerns with our present space have led us to this decision. Moving to 106 5th Ave SE is the resolution we have found, allowing us to continue serving you in a more sustainable way while staying close to the community we love.

To help lighten our inventory during the transition, we’re holding a Moving Sale at our current location with:

15% off everything!

exclusions:
• In-house packaged bulk tinctures
• Bulk loose and prepackaged herbs and teas
• Dried loose herbs and teas
• Special orders

The sale is ongoing while supplies last. We plan to open at our new location at 106 5th Ave SE by September 1.

We warmly invite you to visit us at 117 5th Ave SE to take advantage of the discount before we move. Thank you, as always, for your support and understanding during this time. We’re grateful to remain part of this community as we navigate the wider challenges facing many downtown Olympia businesses such as reduced foot traffic, parking difficulties, and economic pressures. We look forward to welcoming you to 106 5th Ave SE soon.

With gratitude,
Kindred Moon Apothecary

We didn’t start this because we wanted to start a soap company.

We started it in 2014 because we were trying to clean up our own home.

Like a lot of families, we started paying closer attention to what we were using every day—on our skin, on our kids—and realized there were a lot of ingredients we didn’t recognize, didn’t trust, and didn’t feel good about. Once you see that, you can’t really go back to ignoring it.

We wanted better.

Better products. Better ingredients. Simple, honest things we didn’t have to second-guess.

Kindred Moon Apothecary will be open July 4th, 11am-6pm

Radiance will be closed for the day.

Many of Radiance's employees are concerned for their animals and will be staying home to tend to them during the anticipated fireworks displays and loud noises.

Have a safe and mindful day.

Heritage Soaps from Willapa Bay
The Tradition of Finnish Pine Tar
For centuries, pine tar has been revered across Scandinavia—especially in Finland—for its powerful skin-soothing properties and deep connection to forest life. Traditionally made by slow-burning pine roots, this rich, smoky substance has been used in salves, soaps, and saunas to treat eczema, rashes, bug bites, and irritated skin. Naturally antiseptic and anti-inflammatory, pine tar remains a trusted remedy passed down through generations.
Hjalmar’s Pine Tar Soap
15% Pine Tar | Tallow, Coconut, Olive & Shea
Named for my great-grandfather Hjalmar, who emigrated from Finland to Willapa Bay in the late 1800s, this soap honors old-world traditions with a bold 15% authentic pine tar content. It’s a deeply cleansing bar made with tallow, coconut oil, olive oil, and shea butter, designed for mechanics, fishermen, gardeners, and anyone whose hands tell a story. Smoky, rugged, and restorative—it’s soap that does the work.
Uses: Dry skin, bug bites, eczema, heavy-duty hand washing.
Esther’s Pine Tar & Lavender Soap
5% Pine Tar | Lavender & Chamomile
Named for Hjalmar’s daughter and my grandmother, Esther’s soap brings a gentler touch to the family tradition. With 5% pine tar and soothing lavender and chamomile essential oils, it’s perfect for sensitive skin, children, or daily use. Still crafted with the same nourishing base oils and butters, it offers a lighter scent and softer cleanse, echoing a quieter strength passed down through generations

Just arrived from Sundance Farms!

We specialize in growing vegetables using organic practices. Our two farm sites are on Boston Harbor Road as well as in
Independence Valley, Rochester about 30 minutes southwest of Olympia. We also like to rely on our farmer friends to bring in
their specialty produce. All of our fruits and veggies were grown within approx 30 miles of the farm stand itself.
