I get it. I did it too when I was 17. I also wrecked my hair later trying to get the blackest black out of my hair. I'll never shame anyone who colors at home. I don't know their finances or their experiences in the salon. Maybe that box was the one thing they can use to feel better about their hair. It is what it is. As professionals we know it's a fighter coming out so a test strand is a must. It's a preview for their entire appointment!
