What goes around comes around!
This was a bit out of the norm for me these days. Typically, I usually create softer, more blended styles but I couldn’t resist a little throwback.
I may love a seamless grow out, but there will always be a part of me that appreciates a chunky ribbon done intentionally 😻
Nostalgic in the best way? Or are we leaving this era in the past?

WE CAN HELP! — SNAP funding is paused
Some neighbors have received their benefits, but many have not. No one should go hungry or lack basic essentials — and we don’t have to wait for someone else to fix it.
After conversations with friends, family, clients, and community members both looking for support and those wanting to make an impact, I created Thurston County Essentials Network – (SNAP Emergency), a group that connects families who need support with neighbors who want to give. Building community, not transactions. I am also working on creating guides for all local resources in one place. Together, we can make sure everyone has access to food, hygiene items, and other essentials.
Here’s how you can help through the salon:
• Drop a donation in our Pay It Forward basket. (Cash for grocery gift cards) These will go directly to families/individuals to bridge the gap.
• Book an appointment or buy a product — a portion of proceeds goes to local families.
• Can’t come in? Send a donation via Venmo to -Hull
For every dollar donated to support local families, I will match it by giving away a portion of my salon services. Your generosity will go twice as far — helping neighbors while also spreading self-care through the salon.
Other ways to get involved:
-Donate essentials directly to the food bank
-Volunteer: at the food bank, Souper Sunday, Skoolie Foundation Thurston County
-Talk to your neighbors. Get them involved!
Every bit helps. Let’s show our neighbors they are seen, supported, and not alone. Join me in turning care into action!

EVERY Thursday from 9-1230
I had the honor today to give my time and haircuts with Skoolie Foundation Thurston County and Skoolie Foundation.
Stylists/Barbers: please consider joining me in any amount of time you can. Those of us in the industry know how transformative a haircut can be.
Other humans: please consider joining us.
Anyone who would like to donate hygiene items or funds to keep the showers rolling reach out to me or click the link in the original post.
Everyone deserves the basic need of cleanliness —and the dignity, camaraderie, confidence, and empowerment that comes with it.

If I had a dollar for every time a client admitted they don’t use heat protectant… 😭
If you use ANY heat on your hair—blow dryer, curling iron, straightener—you need a heat protectant. Why? Because high heat breaks down your hair’s protein structure (aka, the stuff keeping it strong and shiny). A heat protectant creates a barrier to minimize damage.
The best part? It takes two seconds to apply. Spray it on damp hair before blow-drying, and if you’re using a hot tool, add a light mist beforehand. Your future self (and your hair) will thank you.
Not sure which one to use? I’ve got recommendations. Drop a 🔥 in the comments if you need help!

Rainbow hair isn’t just a look—it’s a statement.
Here’s some tips to keep your vivid color vibrant, keep your hair healthy, and protect your investment.
• Cool water only: Hot water opens the cuticle, letting color slip out faster.
• Sulfate-free shampoo: Sulfates = stripping. You want gentle cleansers that protect pigment.
• Limit washing: 2–3 times a week is ideal. Dry shampoo is your bestie.
• Heat protection is non-negotiable: High heat fades fashion colors fast and damages already-processed hair.
• Deep condition regularly: Bright hair is more porous, so moisture loss happens quicker. Hydration = longevity.
• Use a color-safe mask between appointments: Especially for pinks, purples, blues—those tend to fade the fastest.
Fashion color is an investment in fun, self-expression, and science.
And I’m here to help you rock it every step of the way.
Not sure which products to use or how to build your routine? Send me a message or let’s chat at your next appointment—I love helping you keep your color magical.

Ever wonder why your hair doesn’t turn out quite like the inspo pic you brought in? Let’s talk about it. ✨
It all starts with a collaborative consultation.
A few things to consider:
🔹 Your starting point matters – If the inspo is platinum blonde and you’re starting at a deep brunette, it’s going to take sessions (plural!) to get there.
🔹 Hair texture changes the look – Soft waves on fine hair vs. thick hair will style differently.
🔹 Lighting tricks us all – Salon lighting, ring lights, filters, and edits can shift how a color looks in photos.
I love working with my clients to set realistic expectations while still achieving something you LOVE. Let’s find a version of your inspo pic that works for you! 💜
