Kinesio taping! Used by athletes,
chiropractors, and massage therapists alike.

Tape is applied to stretched muscles, so that when the
muscles are relaxed, the tape can continue to pull them into a contracted state.

This can help:
-relax tension
-relieve pain including specific problems such as tennis
or golfers elbow, tendonitis, or shoulder pain
-support weak muscles
-assist in healing
-increase motion

Tape can be left on for up to 5 days at a time, and is
water resistant- so you can even wear it in the shower!

Tape should be removed by a professional, but
shouldn't hurt anymore than removing a bandaid!

Massage does not always make you relaxed. Having an emotional response is completely normal!

We all know your muscles can hold stress, right? I’m sure you’ve said it at some point in your life- “I hold my stress in my neck and shoulders.”

So if your muscles can be affected by your emotional stress, if we can work out that stress, your body has to be able to respond to that stress somehow. Crying, getting angry, feeling sad, or any other emotions rising up, is normal!

Don’t feel embarrassed or add to your stress. Your therapist understands and does not mind!
