Today marks 4 years in business! 🄳 Thank you all for supporting me - I’m so lucky to do what I love!

Mandelic Acid helps block the enzyme tyrosinase, which is a key factor in the production of melanin. For this reason it can help prevent hyperpigmentation by reducing the overproduction of melanin in the skin.
Both Mandelic and Retinol (or other retinoids) stimulate cell turnover. Retinol is able to do so more aggressively, bringing excess pigment up to the surface at a faster rate, where it will fade over time.
Of course the two won’t do anything for you if you aren’t wearing sunscreen to prevent hyperpigmentation and keep existing pigmentation from darkening! šŸ§“ā˜€ļø

Signed, your esthetician who produces excess keratin like nobody’s business and is also sensitive to comedogenic ingredients šŸ’”

It is very frustrating when you’ve had your skin ā€œfigured outā€ for a while, and some life change (hormones, diet, etc.) brings you back to what feels like square one. Even though I preach patience to clients, the mental toll acne takes makes it extremely difficult to do the same for myself.
Even though I could’ve believed the routine that cleared me BEFORE this before picture was a flop, only one tweak to my routine was needed for my skin to clear like above. Sometimes it’s the small adjustments that matter. šŸ’š

A slightly overstimulating cheat sheet for clients of mine or those who use and sunscreens! ā˜€ļøšŸ§“
I do retail a lot of sunscreens, but I want people to be able to find one that not only works for them but that they enjoy applying every day. Especially with mineral sunscreens, formulations can be tricky and cater to very specific groups of people.
The could be some room for disagreement on certain sunscreens (like why I believe the Mineral Matte sunscreen isn’t actually matte…) but the subjective opinions are from both my experience as well as feedback I have received from clients!

Just a cheesy idea I came up with when admiring a colorful paint palette of finishing products in a facial. Although vibrant colors aren’t what determine if a product is good or not, I still enjoy having them in my routine! šŸŽØ

Improvement from only 3 weeks of a hydrating, anti-inflammatory routine ✨

I’ve been keeping a secret! 🤫
I have had so many clients ask me about Red Light Therapy over these last few years and every time I have directed them to the Omnilux Contour mask. I am BEYOND excited to finally have them in studio!
I have been using mine for around 2 months now, and have been pleasantly surprised by how much of a difference it has made for me! I’ve been switching up my skincare routine and ā€œpurgingā€ as a result, and I’ve noticed that when I am consistent with my Omnilux that process is sped up. I have also noticed that when I do have an inflamed breakout and Post-Inflammatory Erythema (PIE) is left behind, it lightens up much quicker. This has become a part of my routine, and I know I will thank myself in the years to come for it. šŸ«¶šŸ»
