What is rosacea and how do you know if you have it?
Rosacea (roe-ZAY-she-uh) is a common skin condition that usually affects the face and causes abnormal flushing, vascular damage and pimples.

About 415 million people in the world have rosacea, yet 95% of them don’t realize it until they’re diagnosed. That’s because people get rosacea confused with acne, erythema or sensitive skin.

You can tell you have rosacea when your face easily flushes red and stays red for a LONG time (up to several weeks). Your skin may also be oily and have a rough texture.

Unlike acne, you won’t see blackheads or whiteheads on your face. Instead, you’ll see red lines or splotches on your skin, which are signs of vascular damage.
