Lord, place Your protection over this salon, my team, my clients, and everyone who walks through our doors. Let this be a place filled with peace, kindness, encouragement, beauty, and Your presence. Protect us from anything or anyone that may come against us, and remove every obstacle that is not part of Your plan.
Give me the strength, patience, wisdom, and discernment to lead my team well. Help me care for them, guide them, inspire them, and help them grow. Teach me to lead with confidence, compassion, fairness, and grace.
Lord, lead me toward the opportunities and open the doors that You know will help me, my team, and my business grow. Close every door that is not meant for us, and give me peace when something is not part of Your plan.
Please send us the right clients…people we can serve, encourage, and make feel beautiful and valued. Bless the work of our hands, our conversations, our relationships, and the atmosphere within this salon.

This award is so much more than a plaque to me. It represents a true story of starting from the bottom, fighting for a dream, and refusing to give up… even when the journey felt impossible.

I came to this country as a little girl from Laos, carrying the sacrifices, strengths, and hopes of my family with me. I didn’t begin with money, connection, or an easy path. I began with a dream, two hardworking hands, and a heart determined to build something meaningful. As a single mom to a daughter and a son, I was determined to raise them to be strong, independent, and to never give up.

There were years of struggle, sacrifice, fear, and uncertainty. There were moments when I questioned whether I was strong enough to keep going. We survived a pandemic, heartbreaking losses, major life changes, and seasons that tested everything I believed in. But through every challenge, God continued to make a way.

For 11 years, I have poured my heart and soul into STAIY SALON. Every haircut, every color, every conversation, every long day, and every lesson helped build the salon we are today.

Being recognized as one of the Top 5 Salons in Omaha feels like proof that humble beginnings do not determine how far you can go. If you are willing to work, believe, grow, and keep fighting for your dream, something beautiful can rise from the struggle.
