Due to the usual transition-of-seasons weirdness, I have several openings on Wednesday, June 28, and Thursday, June 29. Pretty much the rest of the summer is booked.
If you're feeling the need, and those June dates work, text me at 402-505-0710.

No, this is not a hunting photo.....Briton Alex Larenty lives on a game reserve in South Africa and spends his days giving lions foot massages. One day, he discovered that every time a lion was applied a cream to cure an infection on its paws, the lion would slacken and appear to smile. Since then, he has massaged all the lions in the park on a daily basis. Thanks to the pampering, he created a bond such that just by seeing him arrive, the lions lie down, begin to stretch their legs and smile. With love and respect, all relationships are possible! ๐

Some days I get to work in really pretty places. This Chihuly sculpture is inside The Burlington Building in downtown Omaha where I was doing chair massages for the employees of one of the businesses there.

WHY MY PRICES WON'T BE GOING UP
I watched a news story about the rise in gas prices due to the war in Ukraine. It reminded me of the stories my dad told me about the sacrifices people had to make during first and second world wars to help contribute to the war effort. I decided that maybe that was a more positive way to look at things. I'm doing what I can to adjust my gas consumption in an effort to help end the war there. For half of my job I walk across the street from my home to Urbane Salon and Day Spa. So no struggle there. The other half of my job, however, is driving all over the region to deliver massages in people's homes. The increase in fuel costs has been evident. It's also been reflected in increased prices for supplies and products. It's costing me more money to stay in business.
That same news story talked about how, as the cost of living is rising, people's salaries are not matching it. So, while paying more to live, people are taking home the same pay, or even less. It's a frustrating, debilitating cycle to be in.
My career and passion in life is to provide a stress-free, relaxing zone where people can forget their cares, and walk away better equipped to face the challenges of life. With that in mind, I am not raising my prices. In six months I'll reassess, but for now, I'll find other adjustments to make up for the higher cost of doing business. I'll consider it doing my part to not contribute to the craziness and to help end that war in Ukraine!
Thanks for helping me with that, and for being the best clients ever.
Sincerely, Becky Wells
P.S. I don't fault any small business or self-employed person for raising their prices during this time. Everyone has to make their own decisions for their own reasons. BW

One of the perks of doing outcalls (on site massages) is the pretty places I get to go, like this boardroom in a big downtown office building a block from my home.
Hello Massage People! The beautiful spa where I do my studio services, Urbane Salon and Day Spa, was damaged in the recent flash flood. I'm sad, but also so impressed with owners and managers as they work quickly to get us back to work. In the mean time, that means I have a lot of availability tomorrow and Thursday for in-your-home massage appointments. If this works for you, and you want to help keep a girl working, feel free to text me at 402-505-0710. Life is never dull, is it? ;-)
