Neighborhood Offshore Boutique & Board Shop
Lake rentals, classes, day camps, and special events. SUPs, kayaks, bikes, sailboats, & longboards
We are a Midwest coastal concept store and board shop influenced and inspired by the mountains and the waves... and the people that are drawn to them.

Conversation + Community 🪩
“Transitioning Neighborhood Offshore into an entity under Camp Outpost Inc. wasn’t just a structural move, it was a commitment,” Macdissi said. “At this point, the board shop is part of a bigger ecosystem. Through Camp Outpost, we operate as a year-round, nonprofit outdoor outfitter serving youth, families and communities across Nebraska.”
“The most valuable lesson has been learning to listen: to mentors, to participants, to staff, to partners, taking in different perspectives and letting that shape the work,” she said. “We all get further with people around us who believe in what we’re building.”
Standing Up for Water Sports: Rolling Along with Conversation and Community When Kristen Macdissi started Neighborhood Offshore in 2013, a company that provides paddleboards, longboards, kayaks and other rentals, she was paddling against the current in decidedly landlocked Omaha, Nebraska. PS- Regular rentals are open. Boards are stacked. Stoke is on tap.
Neighborhood Offshore is still the same lake-born board shop energy you know. Same experiential coastal concept feel, same crew pieces, same “grab a paddle and let’s go” vibe.
Neighborhood Offshore now lives under Camp Outpost Inc. as an access program and trade name.
That means when you rent with us, you’re not just grabbing a SUP or kayak for the afternoon. You’re helping keep the whole ripple moving (youth water terms, alumni passes, adaptive programs, community days, gear access, outdoor education, and more chances for more people to get outside).
When you come out with us, you get the good stuff:
gear that’s ready to roll,
a quick orientation before launch,
real water safety education,
and enough lake-town stoke to carry you through the week.
Same Neighborhood Offshore.
Now with an even bigger why behind every paddle stroke.
Come rent. Come learn. Come get outside.

Yesterday with the OPS Migrant Program, we got to do what Camp Outpost was built to do: hand kids a paddle, pass around good food, make room at the table, and let Mother Nature do what she does best.
There was kayaking. SUP. Campfire cooking. Slackline attempts. Full heart energy.
We talk a lot about being ambassadors of fun and days like these remind us we’re also ambassadors of welcome, of wild places, and of the kind of America we’re proud as heck to represent.
The best part?
Every scholar who completes a Camp Outpost program earns an Alumni Pass, giving them free access to come back every Monday and Thursday with a loved one. Confidence doesn’t end when the bus pulls away. Neither should belonging.
We believe the impact happens when today’s first paddle stroke becomes next month’s family paddle, when a young person becomes the one showing a parent, sibling, grandparent, or friend how to get on a board. That’s how confidence compounds. That’s how community ripples outward.
Heart strings: pulled.
Paddles: moving.
Mother Nature: still the best classroom we know.
Thanks, OPS Migrant Program, for trusting us with your scholars. We’ll see you back on the water this evenin’ and we can’t wait to welcome you and your families back as Camp Outpost Alumni when they graduate from Water Term.
Thank you
