Exciting News from Kayla’s Hair Studio!
After much reflection and heart-to-heart discussions over the past year, Rebecca and I have made the difficult decision not to renew our lease at our current location. Ongoing challenges with our landlord, especially some recent events in June, have made it clear that it's time for a fresh start.
That said, I am thrilled to announce that Kayla’s Hair Studio is moving to a brand-new space starting September 2nd!
My new home will be at Le Blanc Salon Suites in Westwood Plaza, conveniently located just off the interstate on West Center Road—right in the heart of Omaha.
Please note that my last day at Simply Pure will be Thursday, August 28th. All your existing appointments will be seamlessly transferred to my new location.
Your continued support and loyalty mean the world to me, and I truly couldn’t have made it this far without you. I’m so excited to begin this next chapter and can’t wait to welcome you into my beautiful new salon space!

After 19 months of multiple appointments, weight checks, meeting with dietitians, talking about a possible g button surgery, feeling defeated with her NG tube, and the constant stress of is she gaining enough weight…Madeline graduated from her visits with her GI Doctor today!!! AND she is officially in the 1% on the growth chart!!🎉

SIX MONTHS of Sophia & Madeline
I’ve been reflecting a lot this last month. It is really starting to hit me that I have two babies. The reality of my new normal is becoming easier and more fun each day. The blur of postpartum life and my babies being in the NICU has calmed down. Learning how to manage my time and how to give Sophia & Madeline everything they need has been a big adjustment. We are getting into a solid routine and learning more about the girl’s personality each day! I still can not believe they are 6 months old, time is going way too fast.
Sophia is now 12lbs 8oz and 24 inches long! She is working on sitting, loves blowing bubbles and talking. We are starting to get use to our high chair and working on her holding her own bottle. Sophia has started giggling too!
Madeline is now 9lbs 12oz and 21.5 inches long! She is still doing feeding therapy and PT to work on getting stronger and more. coordinated. We are also getting use to our high chair. Madeline has found her voice and lets everyone know it!
The girls also got to meet a lot of family members this last month. They made their first road trip to Carroll to visit their great grandparents.

FOUR MONTHS of Sophia & Madeline
This has been a very fun filled and busy month! We got to celebrate Madeline coming home from the nicu, spending our first holiday as a family at home, the girls got to meet more family & friends.
Madeline is now 7lb 15oz!! She is still working on her bottle feeding skills. She goes to physical therapy each week to strengthen her jaw, neck, and core to help her coordination to eat better with the bottle. Madeline has discovered her hands and her voice! And as of Christmas Eve Madeline has officially been oxygen free!! It has been so nice getting to carry her around our house without her oximeter beeping, the oxygen tubing getting caught on every corner 🙄.
Sophia is now 10lb 11oz!! She is slowly becoming a great sleeper at night. She has found her voice and loves to let everyone know! Her hands are her favorite right now, she’s starting to sit up more (assisted) and is getting really good with tummy time!
It’s amazing to see how far these girls have come over the last 4 months. They show so many signs of development that is on par with their birth age, but we also are remembering their adjusted age is 2 months (since they were 8 weeks early) and are giving them plenty of space to learn various skills at their own pace.

I am an independent stylist and Owner of Simply Pure Salon and Spa. I specialize in haircutting, coloring, balayage, and brazilian blowouts. I use Kevin.Murphy products to provide you with the highest quality of service.
Cancellation/Rescheduling Policy: I pay for the convience to have have text and email reminders sent out 48 hours and 2 hours prior to your scheduled appointment. Should you need to cancel or reschedule, please notify me at least 24 hours in advance. Any cancellations or rescheduled appointments less than 24 hours in advance, will result in a cancelation fee of 50% of the scheduled service. An invoice will be emailed to you for the 50% of the scheduled service. (Example: Scheduled appointment was a Color $78 and Haircut $43= $121 @ 50% = $60.50 will be invoiced to you.)
No Show Policy: If you no show for your appointment, an invoice will be emailed to you for the 100% of the scheduled service. I pay for the convience to have have text and email reminders sent out 48 hours and 2 hours prior to your scheduled appointment. (Example: Scheduled appointment was a Color $78 and Haircut $43= $121, an invoice for $121 will be invoiced to you.)
**All invoices need to be paid within 24 hours of the invoice being sent. If the invoice is not paid by the 24 hour mark, a $25 late fee will be added and all future appointments will be canceled until the invoice is paid. My time is valuable and I have implemented this policy for this reason. When you miss an appointment with me, I not only lose your business, but also the potential business of other clients who could have scheduled an appointment for the same time.
