Today our hearts are heavy.
Our community has experienced deep loss with the recent passing of two beloved community members - Jennifer Leigh Cooper, cherished chamber member and friend to many, and Dr. Jeff Meyers, Senior Pastor of First Baptist Church of Opelika.
Jennifer was a bright light - known for her servant heart, her joy, and the way she made people feel seen and loved. Jeff’s steady leadership, faithful preaching, and care for people shaped lives across our city for years.
We are holding the Cooper and Meyers families close in prayer, along with our friends at First Baptist Church Opelika and all who are grieving these two tremendous losses. In moments like these, we lean on one another - and on the hope that carried both Jennifer and Jeff: a life anchored in Christ.
May we honor them by living with the same purpose, compassion, and joy they poured into others. 🤍
