He is George McLaurin the first black man admitted to Oklahoma University in 1948, he was forced to sit in a corner away from his fellow white men.

But his name remains on the honor list as one of the top three students in college.

Hello everyone hope all is well!

Just wanted to update you all on reopening of J MAXWELL SALON. As of today, we will be tentatively able to resume work on May 1st!! 🎉 However, there are a few things that we must adhere to in order to operate. These rules were emailed this morning from the state of Alabama: All stylists must wear a mask and gloves while servicing clients: Only one client at a time: no one is allowed to wait in the waiting area: all clients must wash and sanitize their hands upon entering the salon: also require your clients to wear a mask upon entering the salon as well! Before we resume work I encourage you all to stop by the salon and sanitize your station and chairs.
