What brought me to breathwork?
Grief.
The kind of grief that lives beneath words.
Recovery gave me a beautiful life and taught me how to survive. But after losing my brother, I found myself carrying a sorrow I couldn’t think my way through.
I kept moving.
I kept showing up.
I kept holding it all together.
But underneath it all, there was a part of me quietly asking to be felt.
Then breathwork found me.
Not as a practice, but as a doorway.
A doorway back into my body.
Back into my heart.
Back into myself.
The breath took me to places words never could. It helped me feel the grief, release the pain, and reconnect with the love that had always been there beneath it all.
Breathwork didn’t change who I am.
It simply helped me remember.
Remember the woman beneath the wounds.
The softness beneath the armor.
The wholeness beneath the heartbreak.
It brought me back home to myself.
And for that, I will be forever grateful. 🤍
