Afro Beat Fest was my first vending event in 3 years! I thought I would never, ever vend again. My Mommy was my vending partner and we did multiple events together every single month for 4 years!

So when she passed suddenly in 2020, I didn't think this was something I could ever do again. Not without my baby, my best friend. 🥺

I was worried that every time someone asked where she was and how she was doing, that I would break down boo-hoo crying. I could barely think about her without crying my eyes out. 😭

But this year I decided that I was strong enough to get back out there, and that my Mommy would definitely want me to keep going. 😌

Now don't get me wrong, there were for sure some tears throughout the day as my fellow long time vendor friends asked about her. S**t, I'm crying now as I type this caption.

But I did it, I put my big girl panties on, pushed through my fears, and went for it. And I'm sure she is soo proud of me. 🥰

It all goes down this Saturday in Military Park, Downtown Newark, NJ.

It's one of my favorite events to vend at because of the great music 🎶 and delicious food 🥘.
