It’s also a happy soap cutting day because this batch turned out stunning! It’s giving a strong spring/summer/floral vibe & I love it. Making soap is such a freeing way to make art, the pigments I used here weren’t precisely measured but they turned out better than I could calculate. Here’s to the loving embrace of the universe, making everything in its path beautiful.

Remember the soap I made about a month ago? It turned out absolutely beautiful, the indigo and chamomile look so good together! Though it may be beautiful, it’s unsellable. I confess, I rushed my way through this one. I was making dinner, doing laundry and making soap…😅 how silly of me trying to do all three things.

My lye solutions are always premixed so I dont have to wait hours for the solution to cool and this time I poured the mixture in as always and felt accomplished! That was until the next day when I seen it was still incredibly soft, I felt defeated. I didnt know what happened until I cleaned my soaping containers and realized half of the lye was clumped to the bottom of the container. 🤦🏼‍♀️ If you dont know, the lye is responsible for creating a bar of soap, you cant make cold processed soap without it. So needless to say soap making has humbled me again and taught me patience for the hundredth time in my 10 years of making soap.

Last night I stamped the paper each soap gets wrapped in & i love the imperfections! Doing things like this reminds me why I love having my little business, so much creativity goes into each product from start to how it reaches you guys!
