On To The Next

When I first started in this industry I was an over zealous kid with a new toy
•
But from the day I picked up my clippers I knew I wanted to own my own shop.
•
In 2021 I was presented that opportunity, I’d like to say I ran with it. But in reality I was scared sh*tless.
•
But in June 2021 I finally opened the doors to see what the world thought of my baby.
•
Over the course of the next year and a half I met so many amazing people, built some very special bonds, and even cut some hair!
•
None of this would have been possible without the support of my family, my friends or my clients
•
Y’all helped a kid from California move to a new state where he didn’t know anyone create something special.
•
Each and every one of you hold a special place in my heart, even if you only came in once.
•
I wouldn’t be who I am or where I am had it not been for this shop. And y’all not only made it possible but kept it alive when I wanted to quit.
•
Today I step into a new chapter of my life, and I can’t wait for what’s next.
•
But I’ll always treasure these last 16 months, thank you for helping make one of my dreams come true and showing me what’s possible when you take a chance and bet on yourself.

My names Cody, I own and operate Dapper Gents Social Club.
•
I’ve been a barber for 5 years, I apprenticed in a Traditional barbershop under a very experienced barber who took a chance on me.
•
I’ve overcome battles with addiction and alcoholism. I’ve lost everything at the point when I thought I had everything. I’ve been on top and I’ve been low down.
•
I started DGSC with an idea, to provide a private space for men to be men. A space where you were the focus, a space where you could talk openly, speak your mind and relax. A space where value and experience are top priority.
•
I want to bring barbering back to its roots, to the personal connection between barber and client, to the sharing of knowledge so you can replicate the look you walk out of the shop with on your own at home.
•
I came out here with what I could fit in my car and a dream, I’ll never give up on that dream. To those of you who have supported me this far I am eternally grateful, to anyone new reading this I hope one day to have the opportunity to cut your hair and shake your hand as without you my dream wouldn’t become a reality.
