What’s in a name?

Everything — chemistry, identity, memory, and transformation.

In French, chimie means chemistry, which feels so aligned with scent: the chemistry of notes, the way fragrance evolves on the skin, and how it becomes uniquely yours.

In Arabic, the sound connects to the word for “smell”, bringing it back to the sensory experience at the heart of perfume.

And in Japanese, a similar word means “rare delicacy” — something precious and meant to be savored, which is exactly how I believe fragrance should be experienced.

Not mentioned, the í is an homage to my Hispanic heritage. It’s my way of weaving my roots into the brand and honoring the culture that shaped me.

Chimí is more than a name — it’s a reflection of who I am and the belief that fragrance should feel personal, expressive, and unforgettable.
