She’s 78 years old — and for years, she was told her toenails looked “fine.”

👣 This was her first visit with us.

Every time her polish was removed at another salon, she felt something didn’t look right. She even asked if she should stop wearing polish for a while.

But she was always told there was nothing to worry about.

⚠️ What concerned her even more was noticing that the same nippers were being used on her after another client.

That is not something we take lightly.

💅 At her appointment, I removed the regular polish and performed a careful pedicure. I left the suspicious areas of the nails untouched and referred her to a podiatrist instead of simply covering everything back up.

🩺 She is going to the podiatrist on Monday for a nail sample and testing. After that, we’ll know more about what is actually going on and what treatment her doctor may recommend.

✨ While she is waiting for the results, she will come back to us for professional foot care and a deeper cleaning where appropriate.

🤍 Sometimes the best thing a nail professional can do is not add more polish.

Sometimes it is knowing when to stop, protect the client, and send them to the right medical professional.
