Happy New Year and Happy 1 Year Anniversary to James Elaine Skin!

I terrifyingly started my own esthetics business a year ago today and so much has happened in that time!

I’ve gotten to know what does and doesn’t work when owning a business, I’ve gotten to first hand witness all of the work and effort that goes into running a business, and best of all, I got to tend to so many people and give you all the outside glow that you already had on the inside.

Here’s to 2023 and all of the amazing things that’ll come to JES in it’s second year! 🥂

Sometimes skincare can get really complicated and convoluted, so here are a few things you can do to help reach your skin care goals!

👩🏻‍🎤STOP PICKING AT YOUR BREAKOUTS! I know it’s hard. It feels good and a go to when you’re feeling anxious. But by picking you’re making things worse by spreading the acne bacteria and causing hyperpigmentation.

🧑🏼‍🎤Y’all know I preach about SPF. If you’re not wearing SPF everyday then there’s no point in even doing a skincare routine because you’re just burning your skin off. Don’t be that girl.

💃🏽That baby blue pouch needs to become a red flag for you! Unless you need to fix that eyeliner wing, keep these away from your face! They’re not even cleaning anything! Not the vibe!

👨🏾‍🚀 You do not need an AHA cleanser, an exfoliating toner, a lactic acid serum, and retinol in the same routine. Your face is literally yelling for help. Use one exfoliating product 2-3x a week and focus more on hydrating.

When you think of doing any of these remember these words “ZONT ZO IT!”
