It’s been a year since I’ve posted this video announcing this heartbreaking event.

But we’ve come a long way since then. We’ve had our ups and downs, working through issues like medical access and closing the shop down. It’s been a journey and a huge learning curve for both of us.

This post is to thank all of our supporters and allies. The ways you have all provided support and assistance have lifted our spirits in order to navigate unknown waters, helping us to move forward.

We are working for a Sept 30 closing. Hope to have more information and timeline by next weekend, Labor Day weekend. But as always, it will depend on how Alan is recovering, and how much he can handle, as there are many things he needs to do deal with himself.

Please continue to send kind thoughts and healing juju, or whatever you believe in. The support that has been offered is priceless. Knowing that there are people that want the best for Alan brings comfort to both of us.

Hello everyone!

is back from the hospital after spending the last few days getting fluid drained from his lungs. Resting peacefully and enjoying time with the furkids. Especially Tofu, who misses binge watching crime dramas with him till the early morning.

A couple of announcements:

We’re still open. However, we are going to a two day schedule (translation: my days off) for at least the next f our weeks.

We are doing rummage sale again this weekend. 10-3 in our storage unit, conveniently located right behind the shop. This is great for people that need cheap lumber scraps, various costume and prop pieces, lighting, projectors, heavy tools, etc. Did I mention we have a ton of trees? And yes, we are still selling what’s in the shop: makeup, prosthetics, props….

Please spread the word to anyone that might benefit.

We are shooting for a September 30 closure. Yes, we will still have the closing party. Information to come, including on FINAL sale and our farewell party. All is contingent on how well Alan is doing in his recovery.

This coming Sunday marks one year since Alan’s journey to wellness commenced. We are overjoyed and grateful of the support we have received in all its forms over the past year. Of which, there is no proper way we can show our appreciation and thanks.

Also, the shop will not be open tomorrow. We will be back this Tuesday, 10-3. I’ll post next week’s schedule over the weekend.

This is who is upset that will not join him in late night crime drama binge watching. Alan is back in the hospital because there is fluid in his lungs. He’s waiting to hear in the morning how it will be drained.

Hours for this week.

Rummage sale going on today 10-3.

Not quite sure what I’m doing this coming Saturday, but I’ll announce it later in the week.

We still have a lot of makeup product left. 50% off most items. Stock up before it’s all gone!

We know money is tight everywhere, and circumstances beyond everyone’s control have drained our pockets of what little disposable income we have. Please consider supporting this continuing liquidation sale so nothing gets thrown out or donated to a thrift store where it will be sold for prices higher than what we are offering.

As soon as Alan is well enough to be in the shop, items that people have specifically asked for will he personally handle himself, will be sold.

So our closing is an open ended question. We are now hoping for the end of September. The less we have to handle, the easier for us to end our 30 year story and legacy.
