Saturdays (these days) are for sleeping in late and then drinking ALLLL of the coffee in my robe and jammies. I just love having the time to enjoy my coffee and not have to rush out the door at 5am (which is my norm).

These days, I have actually (and somewhat against my will) started running every morning (before coffee 🤪)! I always loathed running. It makes my legs SO itchy and the repetitive impact feels damaging on my joints.

Still, I needed to get cardio in my life so, I found a few ways to overcome my disdain of this activity...
1. I wear leggings 👖 instead of shorts 🩳 which has kept the itching (due to lactic acid) away.
2. Right after my run, I take plenty of time to properly stretch! Hammies, calves, hips, quads.... feels incredible to get a deep stretch when you are fully warm (blazing hot even 🥵).
3. ICE! After my run, I make an AMAZING cup of coffee (I mean, I worked hard for that coffee and by now my taste buds are in crave mode) and I sit down with ice on my ankles, knees and hips for 15-30 min.

I have made it to 5.5mi now and am running at about a 10 min mile. It’s tough and I still don’t love actually doing it, BUT I feel amazing when I’m DONE! Maybe I’m someone that doesn’t enjoy the journey as much as I should...that actually explains a lot 🙈.

The thing is, if i were in my normal, daily grind, I definitely would not make time to do all of this. Maybe now that I have made a habit out of it, i’ll recognize that it’s possible. Just go for it! The plan is already set in place.

For me, the best part about my daily runs is that Ben does them with me. We have very different types of work our preferences...I prefer yoga 🧘🏻‍♀️ and he prefers to play basketball 🏀. But, this was something we both just got into. Believe me, he is MUCH more supportive than I am. Usually, I’m ready to quit and he encourages me that I can do just a little more. Of course he’s usually right and.....it’s good to have someone pushing you a little harder ♥️

What has become your daily regimen during shelter at home?
🏃🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️🧜🏼‍♀️💃🧶🍩🎾🏑🪁⛳️🏋️🤸🏼‍♀️🧘🏼‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️

And some days I just practice where to look into a camera so I don’t look cross eyed 🤣🤪🤷🏼‍♀️🤓
