For those of you who are new here, I figured it was time to properly reintroduce myself.

My name is Cody Jay and im NOT just a beauty creator. For the last 13 years, I’ve built my career around marketing, social media, creator economy strategy, and helping brands and creators grow in ways that actually matter long term.

I’m the CEO and founder of The Social Nexus Agency, a social media and influencer marketing agency that has had the privilege of working with incredible brands, creators, and platforms over the years. My expertise has always lived at the intersection of influencer marketing, creator partnerships, social commerce, brand strategy, and community building, and I’ve spent over a decade evolving alongside an industry that changes almost daily.

At the same time, I’ve also spent the last 8 years building my own career as a content creator. And honestly, that combination has become one of my biggest strengths.

I’ve always believed it’s important to wear multiple hats because every experience feeds the next. Being a creator helps me understand what creators actually need from brands. Running an agency helps me understand the business side of marketing and what brands need to succeed. Working directly inside platform ecosystems gives me insight into where the industry is heading before most people even see it coming.

Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of working directly with many of the major social media platforms internally, helping contribute to programs, tools, and features designed for both creators and brands. I’ve also been honored to speak at multiple Facebook marketing conventions and serve as a keynote creator for NewFronts.

One of the things I’m most proud of is my ongoing work directly with TikTok, helping brands and creators navigate and utilize emerging tools, social commerce opportunities, and creator-focused programs as the platform continues to evolve.

Outside of marketing, I’m also a certified professional makeup artist with experience working in med spas and dermatology offices, which gave me a deeper understanding of beauty, skincare, aesthetics, and consumer trust from a professional perspective. That experience has heavily influenced the way I approach content creation, branding, and audience education online.

At the end of the day, everything I’ve done throughout my career works together collectively. Every role, every lesson, every success, every challenge has helped me grow both personally and professionally and has allowed me to continue evolving not only as a creator, but as a business owner and strategist. But more than anything, I take pride in helping other people succeed.

Whether it’s helping a creator finally monetize their platform, helping a brand find its voice, helping a business scale, or helping someone feel seen and empowered through content, that’s what genuinely fulfills me. In my world, when I help other people win, that’s how I win too.
