Here's what's up: Your hair has a natural cycle, including a "break phase" known as telogen, during which our hair tends to fall out or the proper term is shed.

So calm down. More shedding this time of year is completely normal. But as always, if you are seeing an unusual amount of shedding that is causing alarm please consult with your doctor.

Note: It could also mean that it's time for a trim. Split ends and fairy knots could be causing you to rip your hair during the detangle process. In turn, resulting in more hair left in your brush.
