Hello! It's been a while since I've posted any work! Thanks for looking, hope everyone is doing well. 🌞

I disconnected my Instagram from this account, so it no longer auto posts for me. But if you follow my personal FB account, then my silly story posts will show up. Just because I want to use music sometimes, they can't be linked to a "professional" page. But, maybe I never was professional. 👀🤣🫠

As you may have noticed, in addition to doing hair, my oldest is now having his "baseball career." ( His words 🤪) I love it, it's a positive outlet for him as well as self esteem building and discipline. It keeps us pretty busy as a family, but away from trouble. My heart is full and I couldn't be more grateful.

I also take my potato dog pretty regularly for car washes, as it is an expectation of his now. Sylvan gets dropped off for school and Pierogi sits in the copilot's chair and we just vibe to whatever music is happening in the car. Trying to be everywhere all at once, all the time in itself is a pretty demanding job, but I couldn't have it any other way.

Haven't posted in quite a while, holidays are a busy time for a lot of us, which can be a blessing 😄

January is a memorable month for me, as it is many I'm sure. It signifies the start of a lot of movements in my life that I just came to reflect on.

This month is:

18 years of me being a hairdresser. That is a WILD statement for me to say. I didn't think I could commit to any career for that long. In high school I pursued absolutely nothing. All I did know was that I wanted to work with my arts somehow, and my hands creating things. But, to also not be a starving artist. 🤣

I met the love of my life 17 years ago. We had our first date in January 5th 2009. And we have never been apart. I tried hard to have that be our wedding date too, but we settled for January 4th. It ended up being 1-4-14, which is a fun way to remember it. 🤗

My little Jackie Dog. He was born sometime in January of 09. I just picked new Year's day so I'd always remember it. He would be 17 years old now, and he really did try to make it. I will miss him the absolute rest of my life. A wonderful friend has said to me a few times, "With great love, comes great loss."

I couldn't agree more, and I feel like that statement helps me to remember the better times much more. It helps, Carol. Thank you. ❤️

I started working for J Bauman Salon in 2018. It took me 10 years into my career before I found a place that treated me well and an owner that actually cares and sees us as human beings. I feel that this place has helped push my career in such a better direction, and helped my skill set grow exponentially. Jes didn't even have a space for me to work when I needed a job, but he made one (literally cut a hole in the wall) and for that, I intended to make it worthwhile for us both. He is extremely fair and a very fun person, aside from a boss. Jes you'll have to fire me because I will never leave. I am a loyal stray! 🐈😄

And the last picture is just a wedding we went to, no time frame on that. Just capturing how much the two of us have grown together, in maturity and well being, as well as chronologically. We both have a lot more grey hair than we used to. ❤️
