✨ A Little Re-Introduction ✨
Hi everyone! For those of you who may be new here, I’m Jewell Racel, owner of The Hair Loft.
I started beauty school at 16 years old and instantly knew I had found my passion. Now, 20 years later, I still wake up excited to do what I love!
Looking back, there are so many people who helped me get where I am today. My grandmother was the one who drove me to beauty school to get signed up and encouraged me to focus on building a future for myself. She helped point me toward a career that would change my life.
I was also fortunate to be surrounded by people who always believed in me. My dad raised me and taught me the value of hard work, determination, and showing up for the people you love.
Like many stylists, I started in commission salons before becoming a mom and eventually continued building my clientele through mobile hair services. As my business grew, so did my dream.
In 2017, when Gavin was just a toddler, I took a leap of faith and opened The Hair Loft.
That dream became a reality because of the support around me. My grandparents helped me take that leap, and my husband Nick stood beside me through the remodels, long days, and late nights while we were both building our businesses and raising our family. The Hair Loft may have my name on the door, but it was truly built with the love and support of my family.
My vision was simple: create a place where women could build successful careers, be their own boss, and keep more of what they earned. One of the things I’m most proud of is watching so many talented women grow their businesses here, and even go on to open salons of their own.
One thing about me is that I’ve never stopped learning. Whether it’s color, extensions, scalp health, hair restoration, or now permanent jewelry, I love finding new ways to serve my clients. Adding Forever Linked by Jewell felt like the perfect fit because I’ve always loved jewelry and bringing new experiences to the people who support me.
At 36 years old (37 in August 😳), I’m still growing, still learning, and still incredibly grateful for this career and the relationships it has brought into my life.

I can’t wait to get our hands in there to polish her color up! But seriously, what a transformation with just the extensions!? Her instant confidence shows in the first picture from a frown turned upside down, leaving feeling on top of the world! 😍😍😍
