Makeover on this beautiful Wednesday💕

We've all been there before. Everyone gets busy, we forget, we run out of time, the children try to be grown and do things independently and before you know it their hair is a tangled mess. Today was a lengthy process, some tears were shed, but she was a champ and we got through it! It happens. Maybe you know, maybe you don't, but I just wanted to share some helpful tips to help avoid situations like these.

•If possible, try to detangle first to help get a better cleanse and remove accumulated excess hair.
•When shampooing, shampoo TWICE! If hair is too thick, try dividing the hair in half. For thicker hair, divide in quarters, to help make sure you are washing thoroughly and are getting to the scalp to help remove the build up.
•When conditioning, use a wet brush or detangling brush, take small sections and detangle from root to end and then clip off or twist sections out of the way.
•After rinsing, apply leave in conditioner and either a smoothing serum/straightening balm/curling cream, all depending on the desired style to EACH SECTION! Detangle, twist out, braid or twist and clip out the way. And repeat to each section until done.
•Proceed with more curl products for a curly look or use thermal protectants if you're going for a blowout effect.

This is basic care when washing.

For this desired look. We detangled, split hair in half and shampooed twice. Applied a deep conditioner to small sections, detangling each as I moved on and clipping out the way til I was done. Finishing with a cool-warm rinse. Towel dried. Split the front two sections and applied leave in and smoothing serum, detangled, twisted, clipped. Over to the back, dividing it down the middle and then split the top from the bottom. Repeating the leave in and smoothing serum to each section. I had 6 sections in total. Starting in the back bottom I sprayed a thermal protectant in my first section and blew it out and repeating each section until the back was done then moving to the sides. Then, I finished with her desired braiding style!
