Hello all! This might get long but i have a lot to tell! I finally asked my Physical Therapist why this is taking so long to heal and here’s your explanation. On Sept 21st when my injury occurred I actually fractured my Tibia, not knowing that, i walked on it till Dec 1st when i received my diagnosis. Actually my diagnosis was a fractured Tibia, torn meniscus, 3 bone spurs, missing cartilage and tons of arthritis. Also during my time off i have been diagnosed with hyperthyroidism and have been on a super hormonal journey as well. Basically i am a HOT MESS! Ha ha ha ! I know i kept saying and thinking I’ll be back in 6 weeks… what i didn’t hear was that PT really said 6 MONTHS to a YEAR! 6 Months will be June 2nd. I have a lot of restrictions from Physical Therapy and i am still doing PT every day to gain strength and walk again properly. I will be restricted to 3 haircuts a day, with 15 minute sitting breaks, every other day for at least 4 weeks. I am planning on starting back May 16th and i guess we will see how this goes. For right now I am planning on working Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday mornings. By 3pm my knee is exhausted so no nighttime clients or color clients for now. If you are currently getting your color done by another stylist please keep booking with them for the time being. I will need to work into doing color again. Since i am coming back ahead of schedule i ask you to please respect my limitations at this time. If I don’t stick to my restrictions, PT has told me i will be back in to get a total knee replacement! NO THANK YOU!! I will try to do the best i can to contact everyone at some point. I am contacting people who are just a haircut and can come at the times i can work right now. It’s honestly overwhelming to know where to begin, so please don’t feel like i am forgetting you. Please give me some time to get my groove back. I appreciate everyone’s texts, calls, well wishes, goodie bags, meals prepared and drop ins to check on me. I really have a great hair family! I couldn’t have made it through with out my wonderful caretaker Congo or the support from my family and co workers who have been so kind and gracious. Happy Spring and i hope to see you all soon! As most of you know I have been out of work on medical leave for a fractured knee. I fractured it Sept 21 2022 and walked on the fracture till i saw Physical Therapy Dec 9th 2022. To heal the type of fracture I have is a 3 month minimum. I have been working hard with Physical Therapy to regain my strength and ability to walk. My goal is to be back some time in April. Every client that I’ve had to cancel has been put on a contact list for when I am back. I am not booking any appointments at this time. Thank you for your patience, I appreciate all the texts,calls and cards during this! Thanks! See you in Spring!

Heads up! I am taking a vacation from today till March 9th. I will not be taking my work phone or schedule , but i will get back to you all and return every message when i return. Thanks and peace out! ✌️

Hello everyone!
I am so appreciative of all your referrals and confidence in me as your hairdresser. At this point in time i am no longer going to be able to accept new clients as my schedule is booked out for the next 8 weeks. I have about 30 clients on a list that i still need to return texts and calls to and get into that schedule. Please be patient with me as i am trying to play catch up on my days off. If you have contacted me and not heard back, please know I didn’t forget you, you are on my list and i am doing my best to get everyone taken care of.

Also all the ladies at Pura Bella Salon are still helping Tara with her clients until she is back behind the chair.

If you are planning a big change or I haven’t seen you since pre Covid lock down please let me know so i can book more time since big cuts and new colors require a little extra time.

Having to write this post reminds me how grateful i am to be this booked , thanks to you all.
